We are now a CIC, who knew? & here’s why…

…if you’re reading this, you’re interested in why we’ve become a Community Interest Company. So, in brief, without the funding idioms and with gratitude for your interest, here’s why –

In 2015, following the advice of regional arts managers, I started Stream-Lyric as a channel for producing my socially engaged and lyrical theatre work. This was with the intention that the company would start developing the work of others at some point in the future. That point, is now.

As a CIC, we aim to produce:

socially provocative
word-based
collaborations
across platforms

with an eye for connecting marginalised groups with artists making high-quality work
and for developing the practice of emerging female producers.

By reforming as a CIC, we also wish to attract the endorsement, advocacy and sponsorship of individuals and organisations who would like to support our aims and (very) exciting future projects.
